Father booked for molesting daughters

BATHINDA, May 29: The local police have booked Teja Singh of Bhokra village for allegedly outraging the modesty of his two married daughters, Jasbir Kaur and Manjit Kaur.

The victims had lodged a complaint with the police regarding the harassment. SSP B. K. Uppal told ENS that after seeking legal opinion, a case had been registered against the accused under Sections 354 and 506 of IPC.

Meanwhile, Uppal clarified that the marriage of Meenaxi with Hoshiar Singh had not been solemnized in the Mahila police station here, as reported in a section of press. The police had only found the missing minor, Meenaxi, from Haryana, he said.
