Father-son con-duo arrested

BANGALORE, July 8: A father-and-son duo hailing from Rajasthan have been arrested by the Basaveshwarnagar police here on charges of cheating the public to the tune of Rs 1 crore on the promise of high interest rates. The two had floated a bogus company under the name of Thiruchy Cattle Farms Pvt. Ltd., and inserted advertisements in paperspublished from taluk and district head quarters. While investors got the promised money initially, payments tapered off later, triggering a police complaint. The hoax came to light after the investigation.
