A woman was rescued by an NGO from the clutches of her father who kept her tied with a cot for last two years due to her mental illness in Chival village of Navsari taluka in Vadodara.

“I was tired of being kept in this condition, as I was not in a position to move nor have any contact with outside world”, said Niruben in tearful eyes.

She was freed by Rashtriya Andh Jan Mandal, working for blinds in Vadodara, after it came to know about the treatment being meted out to the victim.
