Fazil receives Maharshi award

PUNE, Jan 8: Fazil Ahmed, former president of the Badminton Association of India (BAI) has been awarded the prestigious Maharshi Award’ meant for officials and organisers.

The award, instituted in the honour of the late V V Dajisaheb Natu, for lifetime service to the game of badminton, has been given to Fazil in its second year, unanimously.

Fazil Ahmed also has the distinction of being the former vice president of the Asian Badminton Confederation and the founder president of the SAARC Badminton Ferderation.
