Before the forthcoming state Assembly elections, documentary filmmaker Raksh Sharma is planning to release short versions of his two upcoming films After the Storm and Seeds of Sorrow dealing with issues like the 2002 riots and the farmers’ suicides.

Sharma has been filming in various parts of Gujarat, including Modasa, Idar, Kalol, Halol, Godhra, Lunawada, Baroda, Chhota Udepur, Himmatnagar, Ahmedabad, Limdi, Bhavnagar, Amreli, Rajkot etc. The early versions will be available only in Gujarati, by October. After the Storm deals with a riot victim’s quest for justice and other related matters like patterns of arrests and litigation after the riots. In Seeds of Sorrow, he will look at the issue of farmers suicide, Bt cotton cultivation, power tariff, irrigation and the opposition to SEZs at Rajula and Jasapara.
