Madhya Pradesh Assembly Opposition leader Jamuna Devi has filed a complaint of fraud against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s wife Sadhana Singh for allegedly giving the wrong PAN number while filing her I-T return.

Devi in her FIR has said that Singh, as per a “planned conspiracy”, gave the wrong PAN number to evade revealing her real income and urged the Income-Tax department to file a case against her. She also demanded that Singh be prosecuted.

The department had slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on Singh for giving wrong PAN number while filing her tax return, she said adding that she had also spoken to Income-Tax Commssioner in this regard.

Devi, who had earlier exposed the dumper scam involving the Chief Minister’s wife for purchasing four trucks which were later hired by an Indore-based cement firm, had also complaint to the I-T department that the Chief Minister and his family members were having assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.

“She has been keeping the Income-Tax department in the dark about her income,” Devi said adding that following her complaints, the department had probed against the Chief Minister, his wife and other family members.

This has further exposed the fraud by CM’s wife “which is part of the allegation raised by me since the dumper issue cropped up”, the Leader of Opposition said adding that she had also written to the I-T Commssioner to register a case of “fraud” against the Chief Minister’s wife.
