A fire broke out in the chilli market in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday, gutting several quintals of chillies kept for sale, fire brigade sources said. There are no reports of any casualties so far, they said. Flames engulfed the market this morning at around 11 am, they said adding fire tenders from neighbouring Prakasam and Krishna districts have been rushed to the spot to control the blaze that spread to nearby huts. The cause of the blaze is still unknown.
