CHANDIGARH, Jan 14: After a brief, but welcome respite yesterday, the cold wave revived in the region, with dense fog in and around the City blanketing out the sun.The mercury, which had risen following a bright sun yesterday fell by three degrees today. The minimum temperature was 6.2 degrees Celsius, while the maximum was 12 degrees Celsius one and seven degrees below normal respectively. The Delhi-Chandigarh Shatabdi Express reached here about one hour and ten minutes behind schedule in the morning as its speed was restricted on account of the heavy fog. The Delhi-Kalka Himalayan Queen, however, was only about 25 minutes late. Several other trains on the Delhi-Ambala section were also running upto about an hour behind schedule.With the weatherman forecasting no respite from the renewed cold wave, a further fall in night temperature is expected.
