Condemning Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s justification of the killing of Sohrabuddin Sheikh, the CPM on Wednesday said not even the Prime Minister can decide the fate of a murderer and it was only the legal process which could do so.
“This is shameful. We condemn Modi’s comments. Even if it is a criminal, the Chief Minister or, for that matter, even the Prime Minister, cannot decide the fate,” party Politburo member Sitaram Yechury said in New Delhi.
