The order was passed by forum president K.R. Pawar and members A.S. Kote and N.V. Pote on a complaint filed by Nangare against the MSRTC manager, Shivajinagar asking for a compensation of Rs 6000.

According to the complainant, Nangare had purchased two tickets for seats 11 and 12 of the Pune-Kolhapur ST bus scheduled to leave at 7 p.m. on May 26, 1997, from Sant Tukaram Nagar, Pimpri.

Nangare’s grievance was that the scheduled bus did not arrive at the Pimpri depot at 7 p.m. on the specified day. He requested the Pimpri depot manager to call up the Shivajinagar depot and ask for the bus to be brought to Pimpri for the passengers holding reserved tickets.

The bus was not made available requiring Nangare to go with his family by private car to Kolhapur spending Rs 3,000.
