Friends forever In an industry where loyalty is rare, and friendship even rarer, guess which two of our Hindi film heroines are best-est buddies? None other than two of our reigning lasses: Rani Mukherji and Aishwarya Rai. The pretty actresses who hit it off when they were bundled together for a series of stage shows across Europe last year, have stayed in touch ever since, and continue to remain good friends even now. Constantly jabbering on their cell-phones, it’s odd that they can stay friends although they’re arch rivals, competing for the Numero Uno position in Bollywood. Like they say: Kaash yeh dosti ko kisiki nazar na lage!
Run for your life…
More Juhi, anyone?
In Tanuja Chandra’s new movie which teams Juhi Chawla with Nafisa Ali, the director is hoping to cast Govinda as the male lead. Sounds a little odd, considering the actor has always turned down woman-centric movies. In this one, it is Juhi who has the plum role. Apparently, the Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani actress has been spending late nights at her Khar office, working out the modalities of their next production. Yes, she will feature in the movie with Shah Rukh Khan again!
Keeping tabs on Tabu
All those who have been grumbling that they didn’t get to see too much of Tabu in Hera Pheri, have reason to smile. The versatile actress will soon be seen showing off that talent of hers in two new offbeat projects. Both, incidentally, feature her opposite Manoj Bajpai. The first, is a film called Ghaath directed by former flop actor Akashdeep (better remembered as husband of screen siren Sheeba), and the other, is titled Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar, an experimental movie. So there. No reason to sweat.
