NEW DELHI, January 15: The recently formed Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) will now carry out piped gas distribution in the city. This was earlier being handled by the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL).A joint venture between GAIL, Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) and the Government of the NCT, IGL plans to cover over two lakh households and 2,500 commercial establishments by the year 2003-2004. In the second phase, the company plans to extend this facility to 7.5 lakh households in Delhi.It also plans to set-up 80 CNG stations in the city.
