NEW DELHI, Jan 24: Gas engine-based vehicles alone will be allowed to ply in Delhi as per a comprehensive plan to make the national capital free of vehicular pollution within the next two years.

“Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and propane gas filling stations will be established in the city to meet the requirements of gas engines,” Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit told reporters here yesterday.

The arrangements in this regard would be completed within the next two years, she said. As many as 18,000 Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses will be converted to CNG by march next.
