West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacherjee lashed out at US President George Bush for attrubuting improving food habits in India for the spiralling global food prices saying ‘he has gone out of his mind since his downfall is near’.
“It is preposterous for anyone to say that global food crisis, including in America, is because of Indians. It is needless to say what the Indians get to eat or what they (Americans) eat. This only shows how he has lost his senses”, Bhattacherjee, a CPM Politburo member, told a Bengali news channel.
Bhattacherjee said it was the policies of USA which were primarily responsible for the food scarcity across the world.
