CHANDIGARH, Nov 2: Government Model School-33 and DAV School, Sector 8, won their encounters in contrasting style to set title clash in the third Rao Jai Singh Memorial basketball tournament at New Public School premises in Sector 18, today. GMS-33 beat NPS-18, 55-36 while DAV-8 got a walk over from SD Public School-32, who did not turn up at the venue.

Haramandeep (16), Sangram (14) and Sukhjeet (10) were the main cagers to score for GMS-33. For NPS-18 Bikramjit sunk 14 points.

Wrestling trials today
Trials to select Chandigarh schools team in roller skating event in under-11 boys and girls group for the forthcoming School National Games, will be held on November 4, at 2.30 p.m., at Sector 10 Skating Rink.

Swimming trials in u-14, u-17, u-19 boys and girls are slated to be held on November 11, at 2.30 p.m., at Sector 23, Yoga Swimming Pool.

Wrestling trials in u-17 group will begin tomorrow at Wrestling Hall in Sector 30, while in u-19 section, the trials will be conducted on November 4, at the same venue.
