GNDEC beats slowdown as students land lucrative pacts

Punj Lloyd, a trans-national company specialising in energy and infrastructure sectors conducted a grand joint campus placement drive at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC) recently.

The company officials, Basab Acharya (GM), Rohit (Manager, HR) and Pooja (Procurement Department) were present for the selection process. Around 200 students from GNDEC, Ludhiana, Guru Nanak dev Polytechnic College, Ludhiana and Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering Technology (SLIET), Longowal, appeared for the written test which consisted of both aptitude and technical portions. This test was followed by group discussions and personal interviews.

Among the selected students were Vivek Jha, Harmeet Singh, Dilraj Singh, Gaurav Puri, Harsimranjeet Singh, Jasmeet Singh Gill, Joginder Singh, Kumar Keshav Sood.

Apart from these, many other students have been shortlisted. The company has offered a package of 6 lacs with lucrative perks as well as international exposure in countries like UK, Singapore, Malaysia and many more.

The Principal, Dr M S Saini has congratulated dean Training and Placement cell, Prof. K S Mann and Deputy dean S K Singla for their concerted efforts which made this placement drive possible.
