PANAJI, NOV 21: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has extended support to the Fransisco Sardina led Congress breakaway group in Goa, on Sunday indicated it will participate in the new government.Briefing mediapersons here this evening after the party's state executive committee meeting, the Leader of the Opposition in Goa Assembly, Manohar Parrikar said majority of the committee members were in favour of participating in the formation of an alternative government, but the final decision was left to the party's central leadership.He said the North Goa MP of the party Sripad Naik, who was present at the press conference, had been entrusted with the responsibility in the matter and would take a decision in consultation with the central leaders.Parrikar said he along with Naik and some other State BJP leaders would leave for Delhi on Monday in this connection and added that as and when a new government was formed `there will be coordination and common thinking between all parties'.Meanwhile, thelone Independent MLA Isidore Fernandes has also extended support to the Congress breakaway group.Fernandes submitted a letter to this effect to the Governor, Lt. Gen (retd) J F R Jacob late on Saturday, Raj Bhavan sources said.The Governor accepted the advise of Chief Minister Luizinho Faleiro to drop the four ministers - Sardinha, Dayanand Narvekar, Somnath Zuwarkar, and Subhash Shirodkar - from his council of ministers, the sources added.All four were part of the breakaway group.
