Godfrey god-sent for Bad Boys

MUMBAI, June 16: A strike in the dying minute by Godfrey Francis saw Bad Boys Club pip Young Boys of Sahar, 1-0, in a Division I A football league match organised by Mumbai Distict Football Association at the St Xavier’s Ground, Parel today.

Both teams had numerous chances to score but their forwards were off-mark. The all-important goal came just a minute before the final whistle with Godfrey striking off a throw in by Ramakant Pawaskar. The heavy rains and watery ground did not help the Sahar ‘keeper Saha who saw the ball skid past him.
