
Manipur Governor S S Sidhu on Friday asked the state Government to arrest the KCP-MC militants responsible for killing a government officer by on Wednesday. A Raj Bhavan statement said “it is important that the state government takes swift and effective action against the perpetrators of this very heinous crime so that the rule of law and respect for authority is mainstained”. Child Development Programme officer S Rasheshori was killed by militants at her office in Bishenpur district on Wednesday. The proscribed Kangleip ak Communist Party-Military Council (KCP-MC) claimed responsibility for the killing saying the officer “defied” a ban by putting up a list of successful candidates for the posts of anganwadi workers and helpers of the department at the office notice board.
