NEW DELHI, OCT 11: Senior BJP leader K.N. Govindacharya who is on a two-years `leave’ to study the impact of globalisation on Indian economy, would launch a website on his work by next month.

Govindacharya, who “opted out” of the list of party’s office bearers — this time apparently to honour Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee’s wishes — is likely to name the website kngovindacharya.com though his followers have got another name, govindji.com.

The site would not only contain data compiled by Govindacharya during the course of his study, it would also entertain suggestions from like-minded people from all over the world on his subject. The website is expected to become functional from the third week of November, one of his confidantes told The Indian Exress today.

Govindacharya’s study, his followers claim, is aimed at finding out a middle path between the concepts of globalisation and swadeshi. While the Government was inviting foreign investment in various sectors, the Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM) and the Left parties activists were opposing it without proposing an alternative source of funding, they said.

Sources said Govindacharya has traversed the country, meeting people who have either devised a new concept of economy or have never taken the beaten path. He called on former deputy chairman of the Planning Commission Mohan Dharia, a die-hard socialist, recently in Maharashtra.

Similarly, former PWD minister of Maharashtra, Nitin Gadkari, (now BJP leader in Maharashtra Legislative Council), called on him with his“secrets” for generating over Rs 6,000 crore without help of foreign financial institutions like World Bank, to construct fly-overs in Mumbai as well as Mumbai-Pune exressway in record time. People like Prashant Pole, a computer expert who has hacked almost 100 Pakistani websites so far, too have called on him.

Govindacharya, according to his followers, has been flooded with literature related to his study. “He is overwhelmed by the response he is getting from people during the course of his study”, said an aide.
