NEW DELHI, February 24: The Ministry of Urban Affairs and Employment has appointed Ashok Rai of Gurgaon as its nominee on the managing committee of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA). Rai, who succeeds Rajiv Takru, has been nominated for a period of two years.
According to an official release here today, Rai will have full voting rights in all meetings. He will also be nominated as a full fledged member with voting rights of any committee/sub-committee/groups that may be constituted by the DDCA. The government has three official nominees on DDCA’s managing committee representing the Ministry of Urban Affairs and Employment, Department of Youth Affairs and Sports and Sports Authority of India.
