Replaying to fears expressed in the Rajya Sabha on whether there was a security lapse in yesterday’s terrorist attack at Tanda near Akhnoor, Deputy PM L.K. Advani pointed out the battle ‘‘we are fighting is grim but it is not fair to say that there was a security lapse’’.

In the case of Katra, he said the J-K Chief Minister has said there was no fault on the part of the security anywhere. ‘‘there is no lowering of guard’’ post peace-initiative, Advani said.

When Congress leader Natwar Singh pointed out that Advani had mentioned ‘‘give and take’’ in the case of Pakistan when this phrase is nowhere in the Parliament resolution, Advani said give and take may also mean ‘‘take’’ in the context of Kashmir.
