Govt to proceed with MTNL GDR

NEW DELHI, DEC 1: The government has reiterated its decision that it will go ahead with the estimated $ 350 million global depository receipt (GDR) issue of the Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) despite the current political impasse, according to sources.

Officials in the DoT are learnt to have their reservations about the issue. They feel that the Finance Ministry has not kept the interest of MTNL at heart .
