AMBALA, Dec 22: A house was burgled today at Nanhera village off the city today. According to a complaint lodged with the police, it was stated that the burglers had entered the house by breaking open the lock and had escaped after ransacking the house.

The landlord and his wife, both of whom are in teaching profession, were away to perform their duties. There has been increasing incidents of burglaries reported from the village during the recent days.

Meanwhile the employees of Ambala-Kurukshetra Regional Gramin Bank ignored the strike call given by the state body of the bank employees union here as they attended their duties today. The work at the bank went on smoothly. 12 Lakh new LPG connections: Insta, an LPG company of northern India will release 12 lakh new connections in the next three years under its expansion plan, stated B.D. Dhamija, managing director of the company, while speaking on the occasion of the business associates agency at Ambala Cantonment today.
