CHANDIGARH, Sept 1: Government School, Sector 15 beat Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Sector 29 by two goal to nil to enter the next round of the under-14 football tournament for Shivalik Trophy at the Government Model School in Sector 23, here today.Nagender Thakur and Chander Bhan scored one goal each for the winners.In another match Shivalik Public School-41 defeated Guru Teg Bahadur School-15, via tie-break, 6-4. GTBS lads dominated the first half and scored two goals but after the change of ends, they looked a jaded lot and conceded two goals. Tie-break rule was applied to break the deadlock.In the tie-break, Bhupinder Singh, Gagan, Harsimran and Pardeep, netted for SPS. Navtej and Surinder scored for GTBS. Earlier in the regulation period, Ashwani and Gurdeep scored for GTBS while Sahil and Harsimaran were the marksmen for SPS-41.
