
HYDERABAD, May 3: The Global Trust Bank (GTBb) has earned a profit of Rs 57.40 crore for the year 1996-97, registering a growth of 42 per cent over last year.
The GTB chairman Ramesh Gelli claimed that the bank’s performance has been remarkable.
The bank’s deposits were up from Rs 1324 crore to Rs 2279 crore showing a "consistent healthy growth". The business turnover touched Rs 3700 crore during 1996-97. The deposits touched Rs 2279 crore while lending was Rs 1462 crore, he said.
