NEW DELHI, Jan 4: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) chairman D R Mehta has asked the derivatives committee headed by L C Gupta to include stock exchange level regulations also in its final report for starting futures and options trade in the bourses.
The committee has already submitted the draft report on derivative trading and the final report would be given to SEBI once the exchange level regulations are ready.
The sources said the new regulations would broadly pertain to administrative practices and procedures in the stock exchanges. The committee is also expected to suggest margins and other charges relating to futures and options trading for the exchanges.
Though some drafting has been done by the committee chairman, they said, it was yet to take any concrete shape.
