Christchurch, Jan 17: New Zealand cricket legend Sir Richard Hadlee today came down heavily on team coach Steve Rixon for his disparaging comments in the media about the Indians and advised the hosts can do without arrogance.Hadlee said the Indians were definitely fired up by the Aussie’s comments which appeared in a newspaper yesterday morning.

“Now the Indians have the lead and the best New Zealand can do is square it. There is a fine line between confidence and over confidence. Overdoing it can take on a look of arrogance,” Hadlee said.

A local paper also blasted Craig McMillan for entering into a private war with Venkatesh Prasad. The South Africans will have him on a plate if he tries a similar style with Donald and Pollock, the paper said.
