
Khambhat rural police on Friday recovered the body of a 35-year-old man near a place of worship at Lunej village about 5 km from khambhat taluka.
Police, which suspect it to be a case of murder, has handed over the body identified as Suresh Ratilal Rana of Khambhat to his family members after post-mortem.
Sources said additional reinforcement has also been sent to the town.
Earlier in the day, a 45-year-old milk agent was shot dead by two unidentified miscreants at Muktinagar Society while another person was stabbed to death near a railway track at Navayard in Vadodara.
According to J.P. Road police, milk agent Chandrakant Patel was shot in the chest from point black range by two motor-cycle borne men as he was about to open his booth on Friday morning. Patel died on the spot. His body was sent to SSG Hospital for post-mortem. No arrests have been made in this connection so far.
Police also recovered a 40-year-old man8217;s body with sharp injuries near a railway cabin at Navayard. Police said the man had been stabbed.
The reasons for the killings are yet to be established.
