MUMBAI, Dec 18: The Bombay High Court has directed the state government to complete by March 31 next the magisterial inquiry into a police encounter in which Suresh Yende and C Mirashi of the Gawli gang were killed last year. Admitting two writ petitions yesterday, Justices Ajit Shah and J A Patil also ordered the government to inform the court by January 26 about the action taken against Thane Central jail authorities in a case of custodial death of Gawli gangster Bipin Shere.
