
CHANDIGARH, Nov 13: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued notice of motion to the respondents, returnable for December 1, on a complaint of one S.L. Gupta alleging the murder of his daughter Pinki alias Sneh by her husband Subhash Goel, a resident of Bathinda.
Justice R.L. Anand issued the notice after treating the telegram of Gupta as a criminal writ petition. Gupta had sent the telegram to Justice Iqbal Singh of the court, stating that his daughter had allegedly been murdered by her husband Subhash Goel on November 5.
Also alleging that his daughter’s death was shown to have been an accident, allegedly with the connivance of the local police, Gupta sought a CBI probe into the incident as he had no faith in the local police.Gupta also alleged that his daughter was not allowed to meet her parents for the last over one-and-a-half year and that her last rites were performed without even informing them.
