MUMBAI, July 28: The Chief Justice of Bombay High Court today expressed his inclination to dismiss the petition challenging the Voluntary Disclosure of Income Scheme (VDIS-1997) tomorrow.

The CJ along with Justice Ranjana Desai said the final ruling on the scheme’s fate will be delivered tomorrow. The All India Federation of Tax Practitioners had filed a petition challenging the scheme.

The hearing on the petition was adjourned thrice earlier. While senior counsel Rafique Dada represented the government, advocate S E Dastur argued for the petitioners. Arguments in this public interest litigation concluded today.
