HC says new books next year, HRD game

The HRD Ministry has decided not to contest the Jaipur HC’s order, asking it not to change the NCERT books this session.

‘‘There is no dispute with the order,’’ an HRD official said. ‘‘We have already said history texts will not be changed this year.’’ The teachers, however, will be given the books that were taught before M.M Joshi changed the curriculum. ‘‘That does not affect the students at all,’’ he said.
