BANGALORE, July 10: Lok Shakthi will be taking a crucial decision tomorrow, the final day of its three-day national level orientation camp here in Whitefield, to make a bid for capturing power in the state.

While Lok Shakthi president Ramkrishna Hegde, who inaugurated the conference, did not reveal any plans to that effect, state unit president Jeevraj Alva said in his speech that if and when Lok Shakthi forms a government, it would be in Karnataka. A Lok Shakthi leader said that Hegde had been asked to make the decision and announce it on the last day of the camp.

“Hegde, of course, is reluctant but local leaders have prevailed upon him the need for entering state politics as the party workers cannot wait for long,” said a party leader.

The plan of action comprises a series of programmes against the working style of Chief Minister J H Patel, his much-publicised failure to act independently and reliance on former prime minister Deve Gowda for support.
