Hoon to pitch for Typhoon

British Secretary of State for Defence Geoff Hoon will pitch for the Eurofighter EF2000 Typhoon combat jet to Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Air Chief Marshal S. Krishnaswamy when he visits Delhi on October 6-7. This will be to follow up on the groundwork done by a team from Eurofighter GmbH that was in Delhi recently. Eurofighter Typhoon, a 10-year-old warplane project, is being projected as a possible replacement to the IAF’s ageing MiG fleets.
