CHANDIGARH, Jan 8: The Chandigarh Municipal Corporation Horticulture Workers Union held a protest rally in front of its office today regarding its long-pending demands.The workers were demanding filling up all vacant posts, regularisation of work-charged staff and daily waged workers, risk allowance, time-bound promotions, release of bonus and issuance of winter uniform. Addressing the rally, the leaders criticised the indifferent attitude of the MC officials toward their demands. Union general secretary urged the workers to participate in the proposed rally opposite the Sector 38 SDO's Horticulture office on January 12.
