DIET THERE’S nothing fixed about my diet. It depends on the role I’m shooting for. For example, for Nayak, I stepped up my protein intake. I’m not fussy about food and have all kinds of food, but within limits. My diet’s changed little over the years, though I have reduced my consumption of carbs. If I feel the craving, I have fruits, chicken or soya products. Also, I was vegetarian for a few years but resumed eating meat on my doctor’s advice. I carry homemade food to the sets if it’s in or around Mumbai—it’s the only luxury I allow myself.
EXERCISE I HAVE a fully-equipped gym in my home, and I work out every day. Earlier, I used to do quite a bit of cardio, but now I prefer light free weights. I think they give my face and body a nice tone, and I feel better about my body. I do not have any fixed time for workouts.
PROBLEM AREAS NOTHING in general. However, I suffer from bursitis, which causes inflammation around my ankles. It is very painful sometimes.
