Your most important meal of the day…
Ever been on a diet?
Never. I’m against them. I believe in exercise, so I don’t need to diet.

So what kind of food do you crave?
Home food. I’m a loyal fan of mom’s cooking, especially her Goan. She makes the best prawn and chicken curries, sorpotel, Bombay duck—the list is endless. When I’m not travelling, I make it a point to eat at home.

What do you think about health foods?
I love tapioca chips. I recently tried health crackers at a friend’s place. They were like wafers, and tasted quite good.

Describe your workout regime.
I love cardio. I mostly do an hour of cross-training—20 minutes each of cycling, the treadmill and weights sometimes. But I don’t get the time to workout every day.

So, you don’t put on weight?
Of course I do, I’m not superhuman. But it doesn’t happen easily because I don’t overeat or snack between meals. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth either, so I don’t binge on chocolates and desserts. When I do put on weight, it disappears as soon as I start exercising.

Is any particular part of your body a problem?
My stomach. I have to work twice as hard on it.

Any workout tips
Well, I think it’s better to exercise first thing in the morning. You have the most energy then. Take your iPod along and listen to trance music. It’ll make you workout faster.

Whose body do you admire?
Mine!
