DIET: For me, no two days’ diet can be the same. So I can’t stick to a specific regime. However, I try to include certain items on my menu regularly. For instance, I always start my day with soaked almonds. Secondly, I drink lots of water. I abstain from red meat and only eat chicken and fish. I also have loads of salads and veggies. Otherwise, I’m quite a foodie, though I stick to healthy options on the menu. The only thing I can’t control is my chocoholism. I have a huge sweet tooth and can have a whole cake or box of chocolates for dinner. I try to moderate my constant temptation, but I don’t deprive myself.

EXERCISE: MY frantic schedules often disrupt my workout regime as well. But on an average, I work out thrice a week. I do vigorous weight training and I’m convinced my trainer was a torturer in his last birth! I usually work out in the afternoons or early evenings—most often fixing my appointments when the gym is empty. When I’m not working out, I do some cardio-vascular exercises like running or swimming. But I believe keeping fit is all about listening to your body and figuring out its needs. The perfect regime is based on trial and error and constant adaptations, to keep up with your body’s changing demands.

PROBLEM AREAS: I HAVE tonnes of problem areas, but none very major. The biggest problem is that like a true Punjabi, my spare tyre is always dying to burst out. But that again is a battle against 200 years’ genetics, and hence a tough fight.
