HP sets up team to probe attack on Italian engineer

The Himachal Pradesh Police have constituted a special investigation team to look into the assault of an Italian engineer in Mandi district on Sunday.

DGP Ashwani Kumar said the team headed by Additional SP Rajesh Dharmani had already identified the assailants. “An un-numbered vehicle used by the accused has been recovered. The arrests could be affected anytime,” he said.

The DGP said the condition of G La Villa, who was working for Gammon India Limited at the Parbati project, is satisfactory. “He has also given names of some company employees who were involved in the assault,” Kumar said
