NAGPUR, Feb 22: Students of Shivaji Science College have demanded postponement of HSC examination Sansksrit paper, which is scheduled for March 12.

In a memorandum to the chairman of Nagpur Divisional Board of Education, they have pointed out that there are two important papers, Mathematics-I and Sanskrit, on the same day. It will cause inconvenience to the students, the memorandum said.

Students have also expressed fears that they will suffer a great deal if they are forced to solve two important papers on the same day. The memorandum drawing attention towards the problems and seeking postponement of Saksrit paper, is also signed by teachers, parents and guardians.

It may be mentioned that the education board has postponed the SSC examination language papers slated earlier for March 16 and 17. The SSC language paper scheduled for the afternoon session on March 16 will now be conducted on March 27 between 11 am and 1 pm, and the paper scheduled for the afternoon session on March 17 will now be held onMarch 26 between 11 am and 2 pm.

The changes have been communicated by the board to headmasters of all schools. For more information students may contact the headmasters or centre officials. The board release further states that no other changes have been made to the time table.

Referring to the modifications in SSC examination time table, several organisations have also demanded that the HSC examination timetable should be modified similarly.
