I am not aware of any case against me. However, I’m aware of the article which was published about me and Amitabh Bachchan. It was in bad taste.

I do know Rajiv Saxena. He was an employee of Sahara but was subsequently sacked. I didn’t have anything to do with either his appointment or his removal from Sahara.

This is not the first time Saxena has levelled charges against me. When he was in Jain TV, he accused me of murdering Phoolan Devi. He has been holding a grouse against me ever since he was sacked from Sahara, his earlier job.

He has made defamatory allegations against Mr Amitabh Bachchan, Mr Subroto Roy and myself. He is a habitual Amar Singh-basher and I am not affected by what Saxena has written or tried to imply. Mr Saxena’s credibility itself is suspect. I have not issued any threat to Rajiv Saxena directly or indirectly.

I know Dr Bedi. He had come to me with an apology letter written by Chaaru Aanand. But I told him clearly that I was not interested either to meet them or react, primarily because the allegations were not worth reacting to.

The court had issued a non-bailable warrant which was executed by the police. Neither I nor anyone I know was involved in any possible way. It is a judicial process. I have come to know about the complaint in Supreme Court.

Why should I use a medical practitioner to threaten someone? His profession is to save lives.

The allegations made by Rajiv Saxena or Chaaru Aanand is the work of frustrated journalists and amounts to contempt of court because they imply that the judicial process has been vitiated and subverted. Nonetheless, I wish him good and full security because human life is precious. It is easy to tarnish public figures. Mr Bachchan, Mr Roy and myself are public figures. We never get euphoric when praised nor do we react when criticised. We have learnt to take it in our stride.
