Paving way for uninterrupted work regime, the software giant IBM has launched Resiliency Maturity Index (RMI), a new anti-disaster tool for building resilient enterprise. Designed by researchers led by IBM Research Laboratory associate director Guruduth Banavar, the new software will ensure a resilient enterprise in the face of disasters like rains, floods, bandhs and acts of terrorism.
In the event of a crisis when employees are “forced not to come to office”, this framework would help organisations continue operations even in the face of disruptions, without losing momentum.
RMI can enable an enterprise to change the response and recovery capability to an essential business imperative that will enhance recovery efforts, Banavar said.
“RMI uses English language descriptions to assess organisational components. It can handle the flexible nature of interactions between the organisational components in an easy way. This makes it practicable and relatively easy to apply and suitable for many purposes,” he said.
