MUMBAI, July 24: The Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India (ICICI) has launched a scheme to tackle the problem of odd-lot shares following the amalgamation of SCICI with the company. ICICI has appointed MCS Ltd, Mumbai as the trustee for the scheme which will be restricted to resident Indian shareholders.

It may be recalled that following the amalgamation of SCICI with ICICI and issue of ICICI shares to SCICI shareholders in the ratio of two equity shares of Rs 10 each of ICICI for every five equity shares of SCICI, SCICI shareholders may receive odd lot shares of ICICI. Further, existing ICICI shareholders also hold odd lot shares.
