MFC-II reappear examination
The reappear examination for MFC-II, held in May, will be conducted w.e.f. December 20, at Chandigarh centre only. The University has already declared the result of MFC-II exam on November 25. The last date for submitting the forms for the reappear exam is December 13, a PU official press release.

Sports day held
The Annual Sports Day of Sri Guru Harkishan Public School was held today. District Education Officer Brahmjit Kalia hoisted the flag and declared the event open. The students put up an impressive march past and demonstration of the newly introduced game, Tykondo and Fencing. DPI (Schools) D.S. Saroya gave away the prizes to the winners.

Express staffer bereaved
Promilla, daughter of Mahaveer Prasad expired on November 30. Promilla, 16, had been suffering from kidney problem. Mahaveer Prasad is employed in the Rotary division of the Production Department, The Indian Express, Chandigarh.

450 examined at free eye camp
Some 450 patients were examined at a free eye operation camp which was held at Karsan village, it was organised by Lions Club Chandigarh Greater. Lion Gurcharan Singh said that a total of 36 catract operations were carried out, bersides two I.O.L operations.

Blood units collected
S.A.S. Nagar:
Around 53 units of blood was collected at a blood donation camp held at Sanathan Dharm Mandir organised by the Shree Ayyappa Seva Samiti here today in the township.

According to samiti president K. Sasidharan around 100 persons donated blood at the camp, which was attended by a team of 10 persons including four doctors from PGI and the blood thus collected was send to the PGI blood bank. He Sasidharan said this was second blood camp organised by the samiti. "We have organised medical, eye and dental camps to date and also cultural programmes… our motto is public service."
