Railway bridges
Ahmednagar: The construction work of 29 bridges in the State will be completed by the end of June this year. The work is estimated to cost Rs 30 million. Since the construction work is related to the railway ministry, the work has been entrusted to IRCON, a company associated with the railway works.

The IRCON has been asked to complete the works within 12 to 18 months after being assigned the particular project. The construction work is supervised by the road and bridges board of the state public works department (PWD). The PWD had earlier completed all the preliminary works of these projects.

Of these, the bridges in areas near Nagpur are of longer distance and therefore, involving more expenditure.
