In or out of jail, it’s same for Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi thinks that in jail, presence of policemen will not jeopardise his security. He isn't afraid.

Going to jail is not something that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is afraid of. He said this in lighter vein in Kanpur on Monday after Congress president Sonia Gandhi implored party workers in Uttar Pradesh to be ready to go to jail to make the Mayawati government accountable and said, if need be, Rahul would join them in doing so.

“What difference does it make. I am always surrounded by SPG personnel now. If I go to jail, I will be surrounded by policemen,” he was quoted as having said by a senior party leader.

“I think nothing can happen in Uttar Pradesh until our workers are ready to go to jail. Are all of you ready to go to jail,” Gandhi had said while speaking on the concluding day of the UPCC regional convention which itself is being held after a gap of 28 years.
