NAIROBI, SEPT 25: Buoyed by their recent triumph at Toronto, a depleted India face an uphill task against consistent South Africa in their opening game of the four-nation LG Cup Cricket tournament here tomorrow.

The South Africans, despite being without speedster Alan donald and opener Gary Kirsten, are easily the most balanced side in the competition and their 70 per cent success rate in one-day internationals heavily loads the dice in their favour.

India last won against South Africa in the Titan Cup final in 1996 but will certainly be buoyed by the win at the DMC Cup where a depleted side led by Sourav Ganguly beat the West Indies 2-1.

The turf at Nairobi Gymkhana is known to produce high scoring matches.
