NEW DELHI, July 30: THE government is fully aware of Pakistan's ``large-scale'' support to terrorists operating in Jammu and Kashmir and was fully prepared with counter-insurgency measures, Prime Minister I K Gujral told Parliament today.``There will be no compromise on the country's unity and sovereignty and the challenge posed by Pakistan-trained terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and other parts would be dealt with effectively'', Gujral told the Lok Sabha. The matter came up during question hour in the Lower House, when BJP MP Satya Pal Jain and Badal Choudhury of the CPI(M) raised the issue of terrorists using the neighbouring countries for training and launching militant activity against India.Pakistan's support included imparting training in camps located in Pakistan and in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK), providing sanctuary to known terrorists, supplying arms and ammunition, giving funds and assisting terrorists in infiltrating into India, Gujral said.Gujral also informed the House that there were credible reports in the international media that the Pak-sponsored Taliban militants of Afghanistan had handed over some terrorist training facilities in Afghanistan to the Harkat-ul-Ansar for training Pakistani and other youths for activities directed against India.India had taken up this matter with Islamabad a number of times, including during the recent bilateral dialogue, Gujral said.Government was also aware of the presence of insurgent and militant groups in other neighbouring countries and their hostile activities directed against India. In each case, India had received an assurance of working together to stamp out all terrorist activity aimed against India. ``We are receiving the cooperation of the governments of these countries on this matter'', he said.
