New Delhi will like the draft Cancun ministerial text to be developed in a manner so as to ‘relect’ fully the views of all members and wherever there are divergences, they will be fully and faithfully expressed in the text. These views were articulated by commerce secretary Dipak Chatterjee on the draft text circulated among members at the WTO general council meeting in Geneva on July 25, said an official release. In a statement, Chatterjee said that the preparatory process for the Cancun ministerial as well as the Cancun process should be marked by transparency and inclusiveness. On development issues, he said the issue of immediate relevance would be the one giving effect to paragraph 6 of the Doha declaration on TRIPs and Public Health. He said India would like the text of the December 16, 2002, to be adopted unanimously before Cancun.
